Brushing and Flossing
Brushing and flossing before the appointment will help our dentist properly examine your teeth with efficiency and ease.
Your Health History
Before the dental exam is performed, talk to our dentist about your health history. This will give our dentist insight about your oral health and underlying causes of present issues, if any.
In the Dental Office
After arriving and checking in with our front desk staff, you will be welcomed back to one of our exam rooms and the dentist will speak with you about the history of your health. This will be the time to discuss your oral cleaning habits and any information regarding your oral health. This information is crucial for the dentist to determine a proper treatment plan for you. Our experienced dentists will also be look out for the swelling of gums, redness, and tooth decay or cavity. An Inside Look
Before the dentist begins the complete intraoral exam of your teeth, a series of X-Rays will be taken to get an in-depth look of your teeth above and below the gumline. X-rays are pertinent in treating the teeth, allowing us to see what is not readily visible. Many problems can be beneath the gums including but not limited to, abscesses, bone loss, and decay of the teeth.
The Exam
The dentist will complete a full exam of your teeth, lips, tongue, and gums in correspondence with reviewing your dental X-rays.
Treatment Plan
Following the complete exam and review of x-rays, the dentist will prepare a treatment they recommend for any dental concerns they have observed. Using this fully encompassed treatment plan, the dental team will work to fix the dental needs impacting your overall oral health.
Prevention
The dentist may recommend some products for you to aid in preventing a disease that could occur in the future and to help maintain a healthy mouth. Products like fluoridated mouthwash and toothpaste.
